What a day...
At the
Christmas Show in
Gorinchem, the last show in The Netherlands for 2023, we had so many nice
results. So to finish 2023 on such a high note we like to thank the breed

FANTASTIC WIN FOR PENELOPE AT THE DUTCH WINNER SHOW
2023 - LEEUWARDEN
After a fabulous day winning the group at the Fryslân
Cup with Ash on the Friday, we headed back to Leeuwarden on Sunday for the
Dutch Winner show in a cheerful mood. We went back home even more cheerful.
We are super proud of the performance and results of all the Crème Anglaise
boys and girls and their handlers.

on the cake came when we learned that on the same day
CREME ANGLAISE'S
CASSABLANCA WITH SILKRIDGE (DERYN) collected her final point in the UK to
gain her Junior Warrant. Thank you so much Luke Sampson for taking and
showing her this Sunday. And big congrats to Colette & Roger Perkins!!!
Our congrats to all the winners, especially to Anette Nyholm for winning the
male Winner Title with your boy and making him up in a new Dutch Champion!

SO YOUNG BUT AGAIN ANOTHER WONDERFULL RESULT FOR SHOUF !!!
So proud of this young boy and certainly also of Priscilla van Oosten who piloted him today.
Shouf is co-owned by Fam van Oosten and Crème Anglaise's.
Congats to all the other winners especially to Carolina Rexgård for winning Best of Breed with Mac Bells Queen Bee.

We had a brilliant day at Midland Whippet Club. Star of the day was
***Crème Anglaise's Just Julian at Silkridge (Jules) ***, who went all the way to BEST IN SHOW
in joint decision of dog judge Keith Thornton and bitch judge Editha Newton.
Jules is co-owned with and cared for and handled by Colette Perkins and Roger Perkins.
Huge well done and Congrats !!
Also Congrats to all on the cards especially Jan P Wood for her reserve best in show.

Last wednesday we were asked by Top-class photographer Anna Szabó to help her with a prestigious photoshoot for a large horse event in London this December at the famous Chardon Stables. As a thank you Anna made this gorgeous picture of Ash... (Crème Anglaise's Thistle Be Perfect).
Also this week we received the critique on Ash by judge Barbara Halbert who judged the whippets at Driffield. The critique made us blush.
Crème Anglaise's Thistle Be Perfect.
Brindle. Beautiful outline, so balanced, she took my breath
away.
So feminine. Long lean head with undefined stop keeping the streamlined look of the head, perfect proportion between skull and muzzle, strong underjaw, rosebud ears.
Long, strong neck leading into well laid back shoulders, well
filled in front, super front construction and deep chest.
Elbows well tucked in and meeting bottom of brisket. Bladed bone to forelegs and strong pasterns with slight spring.
Lovely length of rib with gentle tuck up matching her curvy topline.
Strong and broad across the thighs. Well developed second thigh with good muscle but not overdone. Correct moderate rear
angulation with well let down hocks.
She moved true fore and aft and flowed effortlessly around the ring with daisy cutting action with reach to the front and drive from the rear, holding her topline throughout.
BCC, BOB and so pleased she went on to win the Hound Group.
Needless to say we are so so proud of our little Ash.

Just received the most wonderful news from EDS in Warsaw... PAN (Jesrae Game of thrones) has just won best male and BOS in a very strong competition thus becoming the new POLISH AND EUROPEAN CHAMPION!!!!
It was such a pleasure to watch the live stream and see how Melissa van Oosten moved and showed him to perfection! Thanks a million Melis!! I am sure Pans breeder Diana Hansen is smiling from ear to ear from her cloud!!
A very big thank you also to judge Arne Foss from Norway.

Today at Driffield Championship Show….

It was a bloody mess on the English roads yesterday… but hey, in the end well worth it I should say…
We had a fabulous day at Driffield where 97 whippets were entered for judge Barbara Halbert. We had brought only 2 girls today, nice and relaxed after last weeks Dutch Sighthound Show.
The weather has been kind to us today and the judge was even more than kind as she first awarded Penelope (CA Lady Whistledown) Best Puppy bitch from a very nice and large puppy bitch class.
Star of the day however was our Ash (CA Thistle Be Perfect) Ash was awarded 1st in a lovely Open bitch class and went on to win her 4th CC and the BOB.
Couldn’t be more proud of both our girls !!!
A huge thank you to our judge for your kind words on both our girls and also thank you Luke Johnston for helping out in the bitch line up with Penelope and for the pictures you made!! and last but not least thank you Dianna Spavin for being my entourage party of 1 today
and heartfelt warm congrats to all the main winners and indeed to all in the cards today.

So here we are, Monday morning and another incredible
show weekend has come to an end. This weekend we attended the Dutch
Sighthound Weekend in Papendal Arnhem.
The people were friendly, the
weather was nice, the atmosphere was relaxed and the showground was
absolutely gorgeous.
I would like to start with a big hats off to the
organisation and all it’s volunteers for putting together this wonderful
showing experience.

We are also extremely proud
this weekend to see a lot of Crème Anglaise dogs and offspring of our males
performing so well on both show days, often ending up with nice placements
in their classes. (pictures are welcome…)
Last but not least a huge thank
you to both our judges for thinking so highly of all our dogs but also for
the lovely unrushed way you judged and the kindness you both expressed
towards all the dogs and the handlers that came before you!!

Super proud of all the Crème Anglaise's, who all showed their socks off this weekend.
Extra proud we are about ASH who in one weekend won two reserve CC's and topped it off with her 3rd and Crowning CC at East of England.
Besides the judge of the day Mark Cocozza, our gratitude and thanks especially goes out to Jill Cross and Brian Foster who gave her her 1st and 2nd CC's, Andrew Brace for awarding her the BOB and Group#2 at the National Dogshow and all the other judges who thought so highly of her.
ASH is the 3rd Generation of UK Champions for us, following her mom Dusty (CA Eat My Dust) and grandfather Pan (Jesrae Game of Thrones) all still living with us in Holland.
ASH is our 5th UK Champion after Pan, Dusty, Jill and Phillou.
Also ASH her 3rd CC was a monumental one for us because it brought our total on 25 CC's in Whippets...
Not bad for a couple of Dutchies

At the international pinkstershow (NL) our two boys made us so
proud!
Cremé Anglaise’s Shouf Shouf Habibi won BEST IN SHOW PUPPY
Crème Anglaise’s Route Sixtysix won Best of Breed and finished all the way
to BEST IN GROUP.
Tomorrow he will be back for best in show

OMG.... On this extra special day

word from the UK that our Ash (CA Thistle Be Perfect) has been awarded her 2nd
CC today by judge Brian Foster.

Also to Jo and Rachel for winning the Hound Group Best Veteran with Gus!! It sure was a whippety day in the main ring... and to Chris Amoo with his Group win with Paris !!!

We have had an amazing day at the Dutch Dog of the Year Show for 2022.
First Jill (Crème Anglaise's Irish Cream) won Best in Group judged by Mr. Mark Wibier, later in the afternoon Best in Show was judged by Mrs. Nadia Timmermans - Kadenko and she awarded Jill Reserve Best In Show.
Big heartfelt Congratulations to Kees Versluis and Richard for winning BIS with their lovely Standard Longhair Dachshund and to all the other group winners and runners up.

Don't know what to say...
1st UK show of the year in Boston and our young girl Ash (Crème Anglaise's Thistle Be Perfect) comes in and wins the Bitch CC from Yearling Class.
On top of this our young boy Mats (Showline Signature) was awarded Best Puppy In Breed and later on he got Hound Puppy Group#3.
What a way to start the year!! Thank you so much to our judge today Mrs. Jill Cross.

IT'S OFFICIAL JILL IS TOP WHIPPET UK 2022
Our Jill (UK Champion Crème
Anglaise’s Irish Cream) has done it !! Top Whippet of the UK in the Our Dogs
Topdogs Competition.
Jill was home bred out of Crème Anglaise’s Pantomime
(Sophie), sired by Collooney Black Comet (Comet). Jill is the first whippet from
The Netherlands and the first non-UK-resident Whippet to pull this off. We were
only able to do 8 of the 41 CC shows for whippets when we took her out of the
ring mainly because we wanted her to have a litter. The results put her in the
lead firmly by August, but in the end it was a pretty close finish. We are over
the moon that she managed to pull it off.
