8 december 2024 Christmas show (Gorinchem)
A SUCCESFUL FINNISH OF 2024 AT THE CHRISTMAS SHOW
Last show of the year and we are happy we could finnish it on a high!! The atmosphere was very nice and festive. compliments to the show comittee!!

These are our results:
SHOUF - (CA Shouf Shouf Habibi) 1-EX in Champ class, CAC, CACIB, Best Male & BOS Co is co-owned by us and Fam. van Oosten.
AYLIN - ( CA Entourage On Tour) 1-VP in Puppy Bitch, Best Puppy in Breed, in the main ring Aylin took a wonderful 2nd spot in Puppy BIS Aylin is co-owned with Mrs H. Peters.
ASH - (CA Thistle Be Perfect) 1-EX in Champ class, CAC, CACIB, Best Bitch & BOB, and finishing 2nd in Group 10 (Sighthounds) Also our Bichon Frisé had a great day in the hands of his handler and co-owner Roxanne Kort.
MR. WILSON - (Regina Bichon We Will Rock You) 1-EX in Champ class, CAC, CACIB & BOB. Mr. Wilson finnished 2nd in Group 9 (Toy).

Another year has come and gone.... 2024 has been a tremendously succesful year for us at Crème Anglaise's with many great results both in Holland as in the UK ....
In Holland we finnished 1,2 & 3 in the whippets.
1) Crème Anglaise's Shouf Shouf Habibi.
2) Crème Anglaise's Irish Cream.
3) Crème Anglaise's Thistle Be Perfect.
We also finnished 1st in the Dutch (WOW) Kennel Competition for whippets.

We will make a seperate post for the UK results after the last show at LKA.

1 december 2024 Whippet Club of Wales (Cardiff)
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! (long text warning.... sorry)
After a fabulous showday on Friday at the Fryslan Cup, we had to unfortunately skip the Tulip Cup and the Dutch Winner show this year because we were already showing at the Whippet Club Of Wales in Cardiff and try to qualify a few of our youngsters for the green carpet in march.
WCOW had a splendid total entry of 163 whippets.
Crème Anglaise’s Cheeky Entourage (Cheeky B.) was 2nd in PD (out of 12) and he is now Crufts Qualified !!!
Crème Anglaise’s Just Julian with Silkridge (Jules) won OD (10) and in the challenge he managed to claim todays, and his 11th, dog CC. In the final lineup he was awarded RESERVE BEST IN SHOW. Jules is owned and handled to perfection by Colette Perkins of Silkridge and co-owned with CA.
On with the girls….
First up was Crème Anglaise’s Entourage with Silkridge (Tally) in MPB (9). Tally rocked it and took 1st spot in her class. In the final line-up she took BPB and BEST PUPPY IN SHOW (Joint decision). Tally is handled and owned by Silkridge and co-owned with CA.
Then it was time to introduce Tally’s sister Crème Anglaise’s Entourage On Tour (Aylin). She had an excellent UK-debut in PB (9). Like her sister she ended up on top of her class!! 1st in PB and a Crufts Qualification on her first attempt and it was a close call for best puppy bitch with her sister. Aylin is co-owned with Mrs. H. Peters.
Next up, was our Silkridge Black Dahlia (Lia), another UK-debutante in JB (7). Our black girl performed so well and she got a fab 2nd place in Junior Bitch + Crufts Qualification!! and she is only 10 months old, Lia is owned by us and co-owned with Silkridge.
Last but not least it was Jill’s turn in OB (12), Crème Anglaise’s Irish Cream is still on her throne after winning OB and going on to win the bitch CC, her 11th, and finally she took BEST IN SHOW (Referee decision).
We are very grateful to todays judges dogs: Liz McKnight (Azrams) and bitches: Lorena Grisoli (Loroli). Referee: Kevin Rees (Kierpark). Also we would like to thank the commitee of WCOW and all the volounteers for puting together such a memorable and well run show.

   

30 november 2024 Fryslan Cup (Leeuwarden)
RESULTS AT THE FRYSLAN CUP IN LEEUWARDEN...
Fortunately yesterday was a dry and crispy fresh day in Leeuwarden but the Expo hall was nice and warm... (probably because it was a tad overcrowded...)
Our whippet judge (26) today was a true hound specialist, Graham Hill from the UK and he awarded our dogs the following results:
LEV - Emandoria Dazzling Diplomat for Creme Anglaise 1st in Junior class, Junior Cacib, Junior CAC, Junior BOB, res CAC and Res Best Male
LEWIS - CA U To Me R Everything 1st in Intermediate class
SHOUF - CA Shouf Shouf Habibi 2nd in Champion class and Res CACIB
AYLIN - CA Entourage On Tour 1st in Puppy class and Puppy BOB
ASH - CA Thistle Be Perfect 1st in Chanpion class, CAC, CACIB and BOB later in the group she was placed 4th by judge Willem Buitenkamp (NL)
Needless to say we are extremely happy with these results, for which we thank our judges and very proud of the team.

9/10 november 2024 Danish Winner Show
Shouf was awarded with a respectable 3rd spot in the group!!!
Group Judge: Vitor Manuel C. Veiga from Portugal.

Shouf also took Best Of Breed for the 2nd day in a row!!!

Just got the awesome news from Denmark that Shouf has also won Best Male on the 2nd day in Herning under Portuguese judge Vitor Manuel C. Veiga
Shouf is now Danish Winner and a brand new Danish Champion!!!
Very proud breeders here in Holland. Huge congratulations to Melissa and Priscilla van Oosten !!

Our own boy Shouf made us so proud by winning Best of Breed with a lovely entry of 50 whippets.

Great day for CA at IDS Bleiswijk.
Yesterday at the IDS Bleiswijk.
The team performs like a dream again.

What a fab week we had!

     

JILL TAKES THE EUROPEAN TITLE FOR THE SECOND TIME !!

Crème Anglaise's Irish Cream has done it again! In Celje, Slovenia she just became the EU WINNER 2024, After winning it in Paris 2022.
There was a super entry of 118 whippets.
Bitches were judged by Frank Kane (UK)
Males & BOB judged by Burt Andrew ( AUS)

Our gratitude to both gentleman for awarding Jill the EUW'24 Title and the BOB.
Also our 2 other entries performed very well.
Crème Anglaise's Thistle Be Perfect (Ash)- EXC-4 in Open Bitch (12)
and
Crème Anglaise's Shouf Shouf Habibi (Shouf) - EXC-3 in Champion Male (16)
Shouf is co-owned by Crème Anglaise's and Fam. van Oosten.
Congratulations to all other winners especially to Sergei Pershin winning Best Male with Reffton Phanthea, who by the way is a son of our good old Pan (Jesrae Game of Thrones)

What a super day this turned out to be....
Shortly after winning the Breed Group Judge Janusz Opara (POL) also awarded Jill (Crème Anglaise's Irish Cream) the Topspot in FCI-group 10, sending her through to the last 10 of the show...
Very proud of course of Jill who also had to deal with a terrible noise from a defect microphone right as she was up. She didn't even blink and moved like she always does.

  

At the first show this week in Celje, known as the Platinum Slovenian Winner Show I guess we did quite well....

29 september 2024 CACIB show at Maastricht
SHOUF SHOUF MAASTRICHT!!
At the Sunday CACIB show in Maastricht it was definitely a great day for Crème Anglaise's and Team Shouf.
Judge Erica Bakker-van de Woestijne first awarded Shouf (CA Shouf Shouf Habibi) Best Male. Then she proceeded with the girls. Best Bitch was given to Ash (CA Thistle Be Perfect)
So for Best Of Breed it was me against Melissa... Mrs Bakker chose Shouf.
She must have fallen for his big dark eyes because not long after she also placed him Best in Group 10!!!
Thank you to our judge and to show committee Maastricht and all their volunteers for another memorable show.
We had a great weekend with great friends and great results!

JILL HAS JUST WON THE HOUND GROUP IN RICHMOND UNDER JUDGE Gavin Robertson

HELLO FROM A WET & MUDDY RICHMOND
And here we are again back in the UK for the Richmond All Breed Champ Show. Completely soaked to every fiber of clothes I put on this morning but here are the results...
Jules and Penelope both got a third today in their classes and Deryn a 4th but star of the day was once more JILL. The rain did not bother her much and she took her 10th CC and another BOB.
Congrats to all in the cards especially to James and George for their BOS with Arthur Massive thank you to judge Tom Mather, for awarding all our dogs spots in the cards. And also to Jill's Entourage for withstanding this dreadful weather with us.

2  september 2024, Dogshow Rotterdam.
OOPS SHE DID IT AGAIN….
What a day it was at the CAC- show in Rotterdam…
After winning the breed and the group yesterday under Leila Stenlund from Finland we had to make our way back to Rotterdam for the Best In Show line-up.
It was scorching hot and the dogs felt it and many of them were panting. Must compliment the organisation for not dragging it all out and everything went smooth and fast in the main ring.
After watching all of today’s groups we were pleasantly surprised in group 9 by our Bichon Frisé. Mr Wilson (Regina Bichon We Will Rock You). He not only looked the part but he also took the limelight and a fabulous group win in the capable hands of Roxanne Kort. Picture will follow...
The Breed judge was Hans van den Berg (NL) and the Group 9 judge was Erwin Manders (NL) Our sincere thanks of course to both gentlemen.
For Best In Show it was a bit strange to have Mr Wilson and Jill standing side by side in the BIS line-up, but they both behaved very well and both moved as we like to see them do in the main ring.
In the end it was Jill who was awarded Best In Show by well respected judge Martin Johansson from Sweden.

THE APPLE DID INDEED NOT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE...
Mamma Jill and Son Shouf BOB in two countries....
Today Mamma Jill (Crème Anglaise's Irish Cream became BOB and BIG#1 in CAC Rotterdam under breed and group judge Leila Stenlund from Finland.
While her son SHOUF (Crème Anglaise's Shouf Shouf Habibi) took the BOB in Luxemburg under breed judge György Tesics from Hungary.
An Extra Large Thank You to both judges for thinking so highly of them both
Shouf is co-owned by us and Family van Oosten, who do all the handling!!! Way to go girls!!!

24 / 25 august 2024
It was so sad and unfortunate that Driffield was cancelled this weekend due to bad weather and a collapsed showground. We were waiting for the ferry in Calais when we got the news. As we were coming over for Driffield as well as the NEWS Whippet Specialty we figured since we were half way we better press on. NEWS fortunately had organised an inside venue.
We wish the Driffield show team a lot of success picking up the pieces and we hope the organisation and all its volunteers will survive this ordeal and come back even stronger next year!!!
More bad news for Max Verstappen sadly lost the Dutch Grand Prix race in Zandvoort to Lando Norris, but… luckily we still have JILL, our very own Formula 1 whippet!!!!
The trip over to the UK was definitely not a complete bust because at the NEWS (North Eastern Whippet Society Eastern Whippet Society) Specialty Champ show Jill (Crème Anglaise’s Irish Cream) managed to take another Specialty victory out of a total entry of I believe152.
Penelope (Crème Anglaise’s Lady Whistledown) was first up in Yearling Class, and she won that class out of 8!!!
Jill was in Open Bitch a little bit later and she also won her class. Later in the Bitch line up Jill took the glory and won the CC. The decision for BIS was made by bitch-Judge Helen Geeson alone as Dog-judge Roger Perkins gracefully stepped out because of his too close relations to us. Nonetheless Helen Geeson chose Jill as the Best In Show.
A huge thank you to both the judges, the organising committee and all volunteers.
Also big congrats to all in the cards, and especially to James & George for their boys Res BIS and to Lorena Grisoli for getting BPIS today.

Breed judge was Mark Walshaw .
And then he topped it up with a fabulous Hound Group #2 from judge Howard Ogden .

4 days of Istra Summer Shows are over .

Last night in Istra, time for the 5th show in a row...
And yes he did it again. Shouf won Intermediate and Res Cacib. Romeo won Champion Class, CACIB and BOB.
In the group Romeo was placed 1st!
A nice big thank you to Breed and Group judge Jean François Vanaken from Belgium .
What can we say... 4 nights 5 shows, 5 X BOB.... 3x BIG#1, 1x BIG#3 and 2 new Slovenian Champions to take back home!!
We definitely had a great time. Thanks to all the judges, the organising committee and all the volunteers!!! Congratulations to all the winners .

***3RD NIGHT AT ISTRA NIGHT SHOW FESTIVAL ***
On the 3rd evening we had the 4th show in Istra. Breed and Group judge today was Petru Muntean from Romania .
Shouf and Romeo both won their class again and once more Romeo won the competition for best male and later his 3rd BOB.
With this result Romeo not only finished his Slovenian Championship but with 3x BOB he got the extra title of Istra Winner as a bonus .
Later in the group Romeo was rewarded with another crown as he won his second Best In Group!!! .
Absolutely thrilled with all these results so a really big. Thank You to judge Muntean!!
Only one more night to go....

***2ND NIGHT AT ISTRA NIGHT SHOW FESTIVAL ***
Last night the weather was perfect and that was great because we were doing two shows back to back.
1st up was the 2nd All Breed CACIB show.
Our breed and Group judge for the evening was Annette Bystrup from Denmark . Shouf won his Intermediate class and Romeo took the champion class. Romeo got the CACIB and Shouf the res. CACIB which became a full CACIB. Romeo also took the BOB and later he finished 3rd in the Group.

After the breed judging was done the Istra Sighthound Specially show started and our breed judge was Attila Czeglèdi from Hungary .
We had only entered Shouf but he flew through the ring and was awarded with the BOB with a truly amazing judge report and a full CAC. It was his 3rd CAC so Shouf is now officially a Slovenian Champion .

Thanks to both judges it was another fantastic night to remember!!!

   

***1STE NIGHT AT ISTRA NIGHT SHOW FESTIVAL ***
Last night after a delay due to a huge thunderstorm the 1st of the Istra Night Shows started for the whippets...
Shouf entered in Intermediate, Romeo in Champion class. They both won their class with full CAC and Romeo was awarded Best Male and later Best Of Breed. It was already past 3 AM when the group came in and he did it, Group#1 for Romeo on the 1st show !!!

ANOTHER CC FOR ASH IN LEEDS
After winning the double CC with Jill and Jules at the Houndshow last week, we returned to the UK for Leeds. Jill and Jules both had the week off so Penelope and Ash had to fly the flag in Leeds. Penelope first in won a large Yearling Bitch class and Ash won the Open Bitch Class. A tough choice had to be made. Went for Ash this time and not without reason. Ash clinshed her 6th CC puting our total on 38 CC's in whippets.

Huge thank you to breed judge Mary Pascoe for awarding top spots to both our girls. In the end she decided to award BOB to the male... Congratulations to Rob Wheeler and to everybody in the cards today.

Special congratulations to Hannah Wayman & Helen Wayman who won BOB Veteran with Thomas (Crème Anglaise's One More Knight at Scarletfair) out of a very large Veteran Class.
Happy to see the old boy still loves to show!!

21 july 2024, Houndshow 2024 at Leamington Rd, United Kingdom.

WOW, WOW, WOW
Crème Anglaise gets THE DOUBLE at HOUNDSHOW 2024 !!!
Due to various circumstances it had been a while for us to show in the UK. Finally we made oue way back and how…..

At the Houndshow we had a UNIQUE EXPERIENCE winning THE DOUBLE under 2 respected judges !!!
Dog Judge Lorena Grisoli (Loroli) chose Crème Anglaise’s Just Julian With Silkridge for her CC winner, perfectly handled by Colette Perkins. Jules lives with her and Roger Perkins and is co-owned with Kris van der Schaaf. They bring out the best in Jules time and time again!!!!

Meanwhile in the other ring Bitch Judge Bjørg Foss (Xploring) from Norway, judging her very last appointment decided that her final CC winner was Crème Anglaise’s Irish Cream (Jill).

For the BOB both judges came to an agreement that Jill should have it, so she will be lining up for the BIS line up in a short while….
Never in a million years did we expect to ever win the double in the UK, the country of origin of the whippet and as always with super high numbers (197 WHIPPETS ENTERED).
From the bottom of our hearts we thank both judges for bestowing this fabulous honour on us and mostly on our dogs.
Needless to say we also would like to congratulate all the other main winners and indeed everybody in the cards today!!!!
Hopefully we will get some nice pictures shortly to add to this post...

Update: Unfortunately we had to withdraw Jill from the mainring as she got stung in her front foot by a bee or a wasp in the grass while waiting in the collecting ring. However sad that is she gave a topnotch performance today in the breed and that's just life....

Last week we had the honor to receive Romeo’s price from the Dutch whippet club. Romeo was top whippet show male in 2023.
Yesterday Romeo and I had lots of fun during the agility. I love my multifunctional whippet.

20 may 2024, Pinkstershow in Gorinchem

It was a memorable day for us at the Pinkstershow in Gorinchem. We had some great results with our entered threesome.
Penelope (CA Lady Whistledown) 1 EX in Open bitch, Res Best Bitch with CAC.
Jill (CA Irish Cream) 1EX Champ Bitch, Best Bitch.
Star of the day was Shouf (CA Shouf Shouf Habibi) who first won open class, then Best Male and then the little sod beat his mum Jill for BOB... .
In the group Shouf managed to get a wonderful Group#2 in quite a strong line up. Shouf is co-owned and handled by Priscilla & Melissa van Oosten.

OMG I did not expect to be writing this post tonight!! We are just floating home from Birmingham National after a day you can only dream of.
Jules - Creme Anglaise’s Just Julian With Silkridge Just gave his all and never stopped showing.

12 may 2024, CAC Dogshow Zeeland Goes

And here are the results of the Irish jury.... 12 points go to... SHOUF SHOUF HABIBI from THE NETHERLANDS .

Whoohoo, at the CAC Dogshow Zeeland in Goes, Crème Anglaise's Shouf Shouf Habibi, managed not only to take the BOB but he topped it off with 1st place in Group 10!!!
With this amazing result Shouf is now qualified for the next Dutch Dog of the Year show in January !!!

We are really happy with this young boys victory and, of course, super proud of him as well. Back to Zeeland tomorrow for the BIS line-up.

Last Thursday we had a very pleasant showday at the Dutch Whippet Club Championship Show of 2024... Location and weather we're superb!!!
As were our results!!!
VASCO (Crème Anglaise's Vasco da Gama) 1-EX in Minor Puppy, BIS Minor Puppy. Vasco is co-owned with Roger and Colette Perkins.

*** SHOUF WINS INTERMEDIATE CLASS AT WDS ZAGREB ***
We just got the news that Shouf (Crème Anglaise's Shouf Shouf Habibi) won Intermediate class (10) at the World Dog Show in Zagreb.
It certainly was a proud breeder moment!! Huge congrats and well done to team Shouf/van Oosten and fingers crossed for this afternoon!!!

We are all SUPER PROUD today of SHOUF
Crème Anglaise's Shouf Shouf Habibi (Silkridge Just Joey x CA Irish Cream)
We only just took him out of Junior but still so young....
But young as he is he really showed his socks off and was awarded RESERVE BEST MALE at the World Dog Show in Zagreb by judge Gerard Jipping.
Congratulations to Bart Scherens (BOS) and Kamil Koziol (BOB) for their World Titles and all others in the cards today.

*** SUPER DAY AT CACIB RIJNLAND *** (It truly is a 5* show )
We had a late start with the whippets today so events followed quickly one after another...
Starting with the males Shouf, CA Shouf Shouf Habibi won open class and Reserve Best male today. Shouf is co-owned and handled by Fam. van Oosten.
Bamm Bamm was next and got a 2nd place in Puppy Bitch.
Next up was Penelope, CA Lady Whistledown.. She won Intermediate class and was awarded Reserve Best Bitch with a full CAC.
Star today was Jill, CA Irish Cream who won Champ Bitch, BOB, she also took a 1st in Group 10 and soon after that, hardly time to breath,
.... Reserve Best In Show. WOW WOW WOW

Super Proud today of our CA Shouf Shouf Habibi (Shouf) for winning his Junior Class at the Int. Dog show of Luxemburg. After claiming his Holland and Belgium titles he now has the Luxemburg Junior title, the last of the BENELUX Junior Titles. A pretty good way to finish his Junior Career!!

CACIB Martini Dogshow / Holland Cup

Usually a great last show before we head off to Crufts...
This year our two girls really went for it.

Penelope ( Crème Anglaise's Lady Wistledown) took a large Junior Class, clinging the Junior Holland Cup title.
She then went on to Junior BOB and later on in the main ring took the top spot winning Junior BIS

Our other girl Jill (Crème Anglaise's Irish Cream) took a competitive Champion Class and went on to BOB also clinging her Holland Cup Title.
In the mainring she won Group 10 and finished it off with a BIS#3

Dog Of The Year Show 2023 (Margriethal, Schiedam)
Super proud of our boy Romeo.
He’s was invited for the third year in a row and for the 3rd time he was selected in the last 6 from a lovely Quality group.

Jan Willem and Kris congrats on winning group 10 with Shoufs lovely mother Jill, and thank you so much for the trust in us.
Thank you Mr John Wauben for thinking so highly of our boy.

Jill had her comeback to the showing after her litter.
And she nailed it !!! She moved like a dream and she thoroughly enjoyed being back in the ring!!!

Brother Jules & sister Ash, that is two in the pocket for WOTY 2024 !!! Plenty of time to make arrangements at work and as there will be a disco included we will be sure to invite our entourage to join us.

It's their 3rd consecutive year to qualify for WOTY for the both of them!! Thanks for these invites WOTY commity !!!

Proud to receive this Winner of Winners 2023 Award today from the Dutch Kennelclub!
Not only did we win the Kennel Competition, our Ash (UK ch CA Thistle Be Perfect) also finished 1st in the individual Winner of Winners competition !!!
So proud of this girl!!

HELLO 2024!!
First show in the New Year for us was Manchester Champ Show so off we went for another trip to the UK.
The Whippet entry was 205 and we had some fabulous results.
Starting with the boys Jules (CA Just Julian) was right up there again winning the Reserve ticket today !!
Penelope (CA Lady Whistledown) got 1st in a nice large Yearling class.
Deryn (CA Cassablanca with Silkridge) picked up a 3rd place in a very large Junior Bitch class.
Both Deryn and Jules are co owned with Roger and Colette Perkins and handled by Colette. Huge congrats from us, very proud of their performances.
Star of the day in Manchester was Ash (Crème Anglaise's Thistle Be Perfect)
This girl always gives it 100% and just loves the showring. Ash won her 5th bitch CC and her 3rd BOB.
Ash also won the Winners of Winners competition in Holland over the entire showyear 2023.
Big thank you to Priscilla van Oosten for showing Ash in the Bitch Challenge!!
Big congrats to all the other winners and a heartfelt thank you to breed judge Jose M. Doval from Spain for thinking so highly of our boys and girls!

All in all 2023 was a good year for us with lots of special memories made together with some equally special friends, some fabulous litters and a lot of fabulous show results all around Europe and the UK to celebrate as well.

Now it's time to look forward and JUMP INTO 2024 in good spirits!!
